Layer Breakdown
4-layer construction engineered to EN 1177.
EPDM Wear Layer (10–15mm)
Coloured, UV-stable EPDM rubber granules bound in polyurethane — the seamless, non-slip playing surface. Available in 15+ standard colours with custom graphics and multicolour designs poured in place.
SBR Shock Pad Base (20–90mm)
Black SBR rubber granules bound in PU, thickness scaled to the required Critical Fall Height — up to 3.0 m under EN 1177.
PU Primer
Polyurethane primer coat applied directly onto the sub-base to guarantee a permanent mechanical bond between shock pad and concrete/asphalt.
Concrete / Asphalt Sub-base
Load-bearing slab with a controlled fall for drainage. Provides the rigid foundation the Playflex system is poured onto.
